New decade. New you!

As we move into 2020 we enter not only a new year but a new decade! What were the last ten years like for you and what will the next ten hold?

Are you going through a messy divorce? Are you in a marriage that isn’t heading in the right direction? Or maybe you are coming out the other side of divorce and into unknown territory relating to love, finances, single parenting – and all that comes with a seperation.

This time of the year it’s important to take some time out to reflect and plan! What is life like now and where do you want to be in ten years time?

1. How old will I be in 10 years? Write it down! (eg: In 2030 I will be 39 years old).

2. How old will my children be? List it out!

3. How long was I married for? OMG and do I want to spend the next 10 years regretting life? NO!

4. List 5 things you would like to do in life if you had the courage?

5. Where would you like to live?

6. What work would you like to do? Do you want to attend a course or upskill your qualifications?

I like to create a vision board or box as the new year begins. HERE are some different ones you might like to try.

Heading into YOUR next 10 years is scary but exciting. Have courage. Have faith and most of all BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. You can do this. And the next 10 years will be better than before!

Now is also a good time to consider your income and plan for your financial future. You can download our income worksheet from here.

Remember you are not alone on this journey. There are people to help you through when times are tough.

Happiness is a fleeting present state of mind. It’s a feeling at a point in time. You too will be happy and have a happier new decade.

Look ahead and start planning!
